We actively participated in a 2 day webinar organised by peet memmorial training college, Mavelikkara. The webinar was based on Research Methodology on 24th and 25th September 2020. Our college conducted a webinar on Research Methodology on 16th September 2020. The webinar starts at 11 am.          The webinar commenced after the registration of the participants. Resource person :-      Dr Sameer Babu M      Kerala University About resource person:- Sameer Babu M is Assistant Professor of Education at the University of Kerala, India. He received his doctoral degree in Education from Jamia Millia Islamia, and has completed six years of service at the Indian Aligarh Muslim University, the Central University of Rajasthan, and the University of Kerala. Sameer is associated with many journals as a peer reviewer, such as the  British Journal of Educational Psychology , the  Canadian Journal of Psychology , and the  Asia Pacific Journal of Humanities and Social Sciences . His research interests are in the areas of general school education, classroom psychology, policy studies in education, trends in evaluation, teacher education and professional development,

Virtual PTA meeting

On 13th September, our college conducted a virtual parent teacher meeting through Google meet platform. The meeting was an effective and successful one. The teachers shared their feedback about us based on our overall performance. Parents were extremely happy and appreciated the management for organizing such a meeting in the present condition.

Teacher's day celebration 2020

We celebrated our teachers day on September 5 , by giving them our token of love virtually. Teachers’ Day is reminiscent of all those teachers who influence our lives profoundly and bring back nostalgic and sweet memories. A good teacher can inspire, ignite the imagination and instil a love of learning.            The Covid-19 pandemic might have shaken up the world, but teachers have shown their resoluteness to tackle even this problem with their expert skills at innovation and their tenacity to impart knowledge even in the most trying situations. A pre-recorded video, was organised by us to shower love, admiration and respect to our teachers through songs, dance and by conveying regards from our homes.

Onam Celebration 2020. Onam celebrations go digital for the first time, but the spirit remains intact. Everyone seems to be following suit, organising and participating in digital Onam celebrations across the world adhering to the social distancing norms.         Our college also celebrated this onam virtually. 

Virtual Independence Day celebration of JBMCTE

On the 15th of August our college virtually celebrated the 74 year of our independence with great enthusiasm. The celebration started at 10 am by a well written speech by a social science student - Nidhi. social science option students organised a quiz competition by 11 am.They also created a powerpoint presentation. After that there were some other programmes like patriotic songs, posture making, speeches etc. It was a day of elation, a day of love and respect for the country, reverence for the gift of freedom by the great leaders of the country. The celebration then came to an end with the principal's words of encouragement. This was a very new experience celebrating this auspicious day virtually and was a really memorable day. It was a new experience for us.

It was a 2 day online workshop on performing arts based on Edu 301.3 : Art and Aesthetics Education.                    Aesthetic Education is a way of regaining touch with the process of learning something new, of being introduced to a medium never known in a particular way before. Since aesthetic purposes quality is an aspect of all activity, perception and intelligent thought, aesthetic education helps students to discover new ways of looking at their everyday experiences and hence it's significance in the B.Ed programme.                    The art form-  Kathakali  was the topic of the class. As per covid19 situations, online classes started from June 1 2020...                 All the educational institutions in the country are under the suspension of regular teaching,  following nationwide lock down as precautionary and preventive measures to combat  COVID-19. Declared as Pandemic by WHO, COVID-19 has created a sense of uncertainty in all  walks of life. The current situation disrupted the traditional academic calendar across various  levels in education. To ensure minimum disruption to learning during these unprecedented times  of the pandemic, UGC has given directions to all the universities and colleges to make  productive use of lockdown period by using digital platforms. Various committees are  constituted at national , state and regional levels for pooling of e-resources towards the intensification of online education system in the country.

We participated in the one day workshop on'Inculcating Spirit of Science & Plant Health Management' held at ICAR-CPCRI the regional station Kayamkulam on 26th February 2020 which included thematic technical sessions as well as field visits. They also organised a quiz competition. It was an informative and interesting workshop for us.

Christmas celebration 2019 @JBMCTE .            Christmas is the festival which inspires the spirit of sharing and caring. The college auditorium was beautifully decorated and we all dressed in red and white. There were programmes like welcoming santa, cake cutting, Carol song, dances etc. To inculcate the spirit of sharing ,we all share small gifts to our Christmas friend. My christmas friend is Fousiya from maths option and I got my christmas gift from Arya . It was a memorable day.....

Our commerce option organised an industrial visit to IRE Ltd . INDIAN RARE EARTH Ltd           IREL (India) Limited   (Formally Indian Rare Earths Limited)  is a government-owned corporation Mini-Ratna Category A, Schedule B Company, in India based in Mumbai. It was incorporated as a private limited company and jointly owned by the Government of India. Government of India took control of IREL in 1963 under the administrative control of Department of Atomic Energy(DAE). It was incorporated with the primary intention of taking up commercial scale processing of monazite sand at its first unit namely Rare Earths Division (RED), Aluva, Kochi for the recovery of thorium.               IREL commissioned its largest division called Orissa Sand Complex (OSCOM) at Chhatrapur, Odisha.Today IREL operates these four units along with a corporate office in Mumbai and a unit located in Manavalakurichi of kanyakumari district. Study tour

A study tour is a travel experience with specific learning goals. The learning goals of each study tour vary, but are always spelled out in the course syllabus that is distributed to each learners. Study tours emphasize experimental learning and offer both groups and self directed activities that are enables learners to explore new territories, cultures and people. Study tours are designed to be both fun and educational purposes. Our group enjoy the total curiosities. Socialize freely and make use of the local recreational and cultural resources of the areas that are visited. However study tours are not party trips.      Our destinations :- Coorg , Chikmagalur, and Uduppi in Karnataka.

Art education and Theatre practice

As a part of art education and Theatre practice, we the students of JBMCTE conducted various programmes at college on 21st January 2020. For that the class was divided into four groups- puppetry group, Roleplay group, skit 1 group and skit 2 group. Puppetry group:- Puppet dance Roleplay group:- Comic role play based on shakundalam. Skit 1:- contemporary issue based skit. Skit 2:- relavant theme of the abuse of mass media. Art programmes with in education has its importance not only expanding the mind but keeping learners off the streets and out of the academic stress. Studies show that students with art programmes are three times more likely to graduate than those who don't. So to make the students well equipped ,the teacher plays a significant role. It is the duty of the teacher to find out those  talents and explore it. First of all the Teacher should have an idea about it. As we were the future teachers we should have a well unders
